I would like to share some upcoming training opportunities with you. OSU Extension, the Oregon Department of Forestry, Oregon State Fire Marshal and local fire departments offer a free training to learn more about our fire adapted landscape in Central Oregon, the wildfire risk that we share, and the mitigation strategies that we can implement to stay safe. Please see the attached documents for more information. We also offer a 4-hour training for contractors, landscapers and arborists that include 4 hours of continuing professional education credits. That class will be next Friday, April 10 from 8 am to noon at the OSU Extension office in Redmond at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds. Please share the attached flyer with your local contractors.
