Treasurer’s Report
Checking Account (updated to February 25, 2026): $14,591.11
It was noted that due to the sparse snowfall this winter, we have not yet had any snowplowing costs. If this situation continues, we will have saved almost $4000 over last year’s costs—a figure which even then had been considered an unusually low amount.
Annual Dues Increase
In our May, 2025 Board Meeting, it had been agreed that, given the likelihood of an increase in road-paving costs nine to ten years from now, and, further, that in paying for our paving project in 2025 we had been forced to borrow $10,000 (to be paid back in July, 2026), an increase from $150.00 to $200.00 per lot per year was called for, in order to accumulate sufficient funds for the future expense. However, before the Board made this increase official, we chose to bring the issue of increased dues up before those assembled at our Annual Meeting. There, we noted that after explaining our reasons for this action we found general agreement among the owners present.
Therefore, at this time, the Board has voted, unanimously, to set the dues at $200.00 per lot per year, beginning July 1, 20026.
Other Business
Bart noted that, considering last year’s expense clearing just one of our culverts, and noting that there are a number of other culverts within our community in need of attention, we should probably expect to spend significant further resources dealing with them—another good reason for an increase in dues.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
